A full-service catamaran charter and sailing tour, the Lazy Lizard caters to small groups and families to provide an intimate and all-inclusive experience of Guanacaste’s coastline.
When you board the Lazy Lizard, we will introduce ourselves and have a very brief orientation explaining a few safety reminders, how to flush the toilet, and what to expect on your trip. Then it’s time to lather on the sunscreen and choose from our variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks.
As we depart the marina, our captain and crew will be on the lookout for dolphins, sea turtles, jumping Lazy Lizards and whales as we sail north near Isla Brumel with a view of Las Catalinas Islands on the western horizon.
If the weather permits, we sail around Brumel Island at Punta Zapotal, where you’ll enjoy coastal views of Playa Danta, Playa Guacamaya and on a clear day, three of Costa Rica’s volcanoes and the coast of Nicaragua far off in the distance!
Standard drink options include Rum Punch, Cuba Libre, Mai Tai, Bloody Mary, Screw Driver, Our Manta Cocktail, Mimosas, Wines, three kinds of local beer, local spirits and Prosecco. Of course we will have plenty of water, juices and soft drinks available throughout your tour.
The typical menu on the Lazy Lizard includes fish or chicken tacos or burritos with an assortment of chips, dips, sides including our captain’s famous fresh-made guacamole, freshly cut fruits, vegetables and cookies.
